How Maruti Auto Sales collects, uses and shares information through this website, and the choices you have.

This policy covers marutiautosales.com, the website of Maruti Auto Sales Inc., 376 NJ-18, East Brunswick, NJ 08816. It explains what the website collects, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. When we say we or us, we mean the dealership.

What We Collect

Information you give us. When you send one of our forms, we collect:

Your name, email address and phone number, and how you prefer to be contacted.
Your message, and the car you are asking about.
For a test drive, the day and time you would like to come in.
For selling or trading in your car, its year, make, model, trim, mileage and VIN, and the day you would like it appraised.
Your text message choices: whether you agreed to marketing texts, to non-marketing texts and to this policy, and when.

When you call, email or text us, we receive your phone number or email address and whatever you tell us.

Information collected automatically. When you visit, our website host records standard server logs: your IP address, the page you asked for, your browser and the time. When you send a form, the site keeps a coded version of your IP address for up to an hour, to stop the same form being sent over and over. Google Analytics and Google Ads also collect information about your visit, as described under Analytics and Advertising below.

Information we receive from others. If you use Capital One's pre-qualification tool on our website, Capital One sends us your pre-qualification request so we can follow up with you.

How We Use Information

We use the information we collect:

To answer you and arrange what you asked for, such as a test drive, an appraisal or a callback.
To arrange financing when you apply for it.
To follow up on a pre-qualification you sent through Capital One.
To send the text messages you agreed to.
To understand how people find and use our website, and whether our advertising works.
To keep the website working and secure, including stopping spam.
To keep the records the law requires, and to protect our rights.

We share information only as described here:

DealerCenter, our dealership management system. Every request sent from this website goes there, and it is where we look after our customers.
The companies that host and maintain this website, only to run it.
Lenders, when you apply for financing, so they can decide on your loan.
Our dealership management provider and your mobile carrier, to deliver the text messages you agreed to.
Google, for measurement and advertising. We never send Google the contents of a form: no names, email addresses, phone numbers or anything you type.
Anyone the law requires us to share with, for example in response to a court order, or to protect our rights or someone's safety.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your mobile number with anyone for their own marketing.

Text Messages (SMS)

If you give us your phone number and check the consent boxes on our forms, we may send you text messages. Marketing and non-marketing messages are separate, and you choose each one yourself:

Marketing text messages: offers, specials and new inventory.
Non-marketing text messages: updates about a vehicle or a request you contacted us about.

Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of buying any vehicle or service.

Message frequency may vary. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help or STOP to opt out at any time. You can also ask us to stop by calling or emailing us.

We record which boxes you checked and when. To deliver text messages we use our dealership management provider and your mobile carrier.

You can also text us at (732) 853-3731. When you do, we receive your phone number and your message, and we use them to reply to you.

Analytics and Advertising

This website uses Google Analytics and Google Ads. They use cookies and similar technologies to record how the site is used: the pages you view, the cars you look at, the searches you run on our inventory, the buttons and links you click, the website, search or ad that brought you here, your approximate location based on your IP address, and your type of device and browser.

When you send a form, your request gets a reference number. It appears on your request in our records and, together with the type of request, in Google Analytics, so we can see which page or ad led to it. We do not send Google your name, email address, phone number or anything you type into a form, and Google's option to collect contact details from web pages automatically is switched off on our website.

Google Ads helps us measure whether our ads lead to visits and requests. Google may also use information from your visits to show you our ads on other websites and apps. You can turn off personalized ads at myadcenter.google.com.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. This website does not set any cookies of its own. The cookies on it come from Google and from the tools described in the next section:

Measurement. Google Analytics sets cookies named _ga and _ga_ followed by a code for our account. They tell one visitor from another and remember a visit, and they last up to two years.

Some features of this website are run by other companies. When you use one, what you enter goes to that company, and its own privacy policy applies:

Credit application, provided by DealerCenter. What you enter goes to DealerCenter and reaches us through it. Our website does not see it.
Pre-qualification and payment calculator, provided by Capital One. Capital One sends us your pre-qualification request so we can follow up.
Customer reviews, shown by a widget from Elfsight.
Map and directions, provided by Google Maps.

How Long We Keep Information

We keep the requests you send us for as long as we need them to deal with you and to keep our business records, and longer when the law requires it. Our Google Analytics account keeps detailed data for 14 months. Our website host keeps its server logs on its own schedule.

Security

Every page of this website is served over HTTPS, so what you send is encrypted on its way to us. Requests you send through this website go to the dealership. The website itself does not keep them. At the dealership, only the staff who need your information to help you can see it.

No website or system is perfectly secure. If you think your information has been misused, contact us right away.

Your Choices and Rights

You can:

Stop our text messages at any time by replying STOP.
Ask us to stop contacting you about offers.
Turn off personalized ads from Google, and stop Google Analytics from recording your visits, as described under Analytics and Advertising.
Block or delete cookies in your browser.

You can also ask us to:

Show you what information we have about you, if any.
Correct information that is wrong.
Delete your information, unless the law requires us to keep it, for example the records of a sale or a credit application.
Hear any concern you have about how we use your information.

Children

This website is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Do Not Track
